WHAT DOES A STORM WINDOW COST?

Purchasing a storm window is an inexpensive solution to weatherizing a particularly vulnerable part of your home.  Storm windows also offer a slightly higher R-rating than that reached with just a replacement (double-pane) window.

Our windows are priced based on size and materials used and sometimes on quantity.  While we know that it is inconvenient to have to contact us for pricing, be assured that we can't get a fair and correct price to you any other way; there are just too many variables.  

It is easy to get an idea of what it would cost to purchase storm windows.  If you have a lot of windows with a common dimension, use those, if not just pick one you'd like a price on.  Measure the width first, then height.  Call, fax, or email us, and we'll get you a price.

Be ready to give us the following information:

1. Width and height.
   

2. Do you want a wood or aluminum storm window?
   

3. Do you want a storm window that opens?

1. open vertically - up and down (single or double hung)

2. open horizontally - side to side

When comparing prices between adding storm windows, or having replacement windows installed, remember that carpentry work is generally not required to install storm windows.  Purchasing replacement windows requires having an installer come out to completely remove your existing windows, with the associated costs, and one to three days of having an installation/construction crew at your home.
